dear wannabe writers,.
i'm sure that all of us have been either fascinated (or bored to distraction) by the loquacious reciter of personal tales who tops off his soliloquy with "i could write a book!
writing a book has left the realm of the remote possibility to become a truly practicable challenge.. do you have a tale to tell?
At school I absolutely loved writing (and I was quite a good writer too). I even tried to convince my parents to let me go to uni to study journalism, but they were not keen.
I often think that I would love to write a book but honestly, I have no idea where to start.
i've been with someone for over ten years.
sounds like a long time to be engaged, but we were perfectly happy with the arrangement, knowing that some of the circumstances in each of our lives needed to be worked out before we could marry.
one day she told me that she wanted to investigate the jws.
Have they actually tried to study with you at all? I tend to go with BabaYaga's suggestion and maybe investigate a bit with her byt for god's sake dont get sucked into the cult!
some folks have been checking on me, some have been worried that i am upset with them because all of the sudden i am off the planet except for a hi here and there..if that.
so i thought i should let my friends here know that i am ok, and say thanks for caring...it helps a lot.. a while back i posted about some things that had been happening in my life, some hopeful, as well as some difficulties.
everything has become more complicated and hurried, and there is a huge game of chess being played in so many areas of my life i need to step back and focus, really focus to make sure i do what i need to do and still be someone i can face in the mirror.

ok i posted a couple weeks ago that my uncle was dying.
i just found out today that he passed away on february 28th (yeah i know, i'm always the last to know these things).. ok, here's the problem - his funeral is scheduled for march 15th.
they couldn't have it this saturday, apparently there is something going on at gillead and people that would be attending the funeral will be there instead.

You are brave for RSVPing to say you wont be there. I have come to the conclusion that we waste too much time and energy on things we feel we "should" be doing out of responsibility. Have a drink in honour of your uncle at the St Paddy's day party and enjoy yourself!

shambhala - a mythical kingdom that is supposed to be hidden in the himalayers *north or west of tibet*.
shambhala means tranquility/peacefulness/happiness and supposed to be a society made up of enlightened inhabitants.. the are three ideas of shambhala - outer , inner and alternative meaning.
the outer is an idea of shambhala being a physical place, but only if you have the right kama/energy can you reach it and experience it.

but there is one thing that i just don't understand.
many jw's believe that people who get resurrected in the new system will not get married.
And a good thing to do when one sins is to admit that they are mistaken and show humility - something the society never does.

when going in fs, i always felt like it was a one way street or conversation because i was there to argue and defend the contents of the wt and a!

I exactly what you mean... I never ever felt confidant enought to have a dicussion at the doors. At the time I thought it was because I wasn't studying enough or something but I realise now that it was more a case of not really believing in what I was saying!

the same guy that spoke to my mum on the doors yesterday was talking about them in the same catergory , aswell as saying that there are alot of 13 to 15 year old girls hanging around the local night club looking for a one night stands (she should of asked him how he knew about this , is that because he is there ?
) his point was is a man of 25 that picks up a 15 year old plastered in makeup at a nightclub a paedophile ?
which was totally irrelevant to the point she was making about the local ex min servant that had abused his daughters friends in the cong even though he was good friends with thier parents and had known the girls since birth , so did know they were underage .
During one of the big discussion I had with my mother this past week, my mother grouped homosexuality, paedophilia, bestiality and some other thing (cant recall) all in the category of despicability - her point being that the whole paedophile issue was nonsense!
